Thanks to everyone for all the great machine shop recommendations! Regarding Henry Schmidt at Supertec, can anyone tell me his location? Has anyone done a 3.4 conversion? I was wondering about the best combination. I am leaning towards LN Nickies and 9.5 JE pistons. Are the Perfect Bore barrels just as well made as the LN barrels? My '87 Carrera is a 24/7 driver, rain or snow, so I am looking for perfect reliability. BTW - 911s are really great snow cars! Almost as good as my old Corvair.... Corsa....

Tintoy,
I recently used Jess Miller Machine Shop in west chester. A friend does a lot of business with them and suggested them. When I toured their shop, they had a number of 911 heads from the porsche specialty shops in for work.

I was very pleased with the product. Had heads totally reconditioned including new valves, guides, springs, etc. If you have any questions, feel free to PM.
Rick
