Chain Housing to Crankcase washers
Question: I am replacing my chain housing back on to my crankcase (81SC). There are 2 nuts inside the housing and 3 nyloc nut outside the housing. All five have really skinny washers associated with them. Are the washers reusable? Especially the ones on the inside of the housing, I didn't know if they serve a sealing purpose.
Thanks,

The two inside the case have the flat spring washers, same washers as the cam tower to heads. The external nuts have the aluminium washers same as the case perimeter.
For the inside washers, if they are looking flat then the spring has gone. Paul |

Thanks Paul. Yes, my two inside are either flat, or the wrong ones were installed by the PO previously. I'll just replace all the washers.
