front speaker size?

I have a 1982 porsche 911 sc I want to replace the front door speakers anyone know what size I should be looking for thanks a lot.

If you are going to replace only the front speakers many will advocate that you do a component set up with 5 1/4" and 1" tweeters. 5 1/4" are what will fit without modifying anything, at least that is what has worked for me on my 90 and 87 911's. Take care and good luck.

PS some will tell you that you should just get rid of the rear deck lid speakers, but I for one, like my rears, though they are only plate speakers. FYI I also installed a pioneer box (sub) under the passenger seat (self enclosed and powered)- good bass but not obnoxious. Still able to hear the most important part...engine.
