Distributor Plug where to get/what r we using?

Where are you guys getting your distributor plugs? Are you buying or making? Do you run an o-ring seal?

Clewett engineering has them O.T.S. Though they are easy to make with a lathe and a welder. Turn a plug down, cut a groove into it for the o-ring, then weld on a bit to the top to bolt to the former distributor adjustment screw...

I get mine from goingsuperfast.com. It looks just like the Clewett one but is a little less expensive. Takes a factory distributor seal (which I have here). I guess you could seal it with Threebond 1211 or a similar compound as well.

Cheers

Thanks guys,

Those are two places that both came to mind. I was placing an order with Pelican and couldn't find anything listed here even though they are now carrying some Clewett products. I didn't find the part listed on either site, so I'll just have to call them. Thanks... Chris, the best I could do is Plasma, grinder and weld, it may look better to buy this time. I like to play body shop fabricator, but don't have a true mill or lathe YET!

Thanks, John...I'll have to figure out where I'm putting coils first and then give him a call. This is obviously not for the engine that someone so graciously shipped me TODAY

I am using Richard for my wires too, and some other odds and ends I needed. This how/where I mounted my coils....

Cheers
