seal inside tranny

does anyone know how to remove the seal on the inside bell where the crank is on the tranny.

I recieved my answer the whole thing has to be taken apart to slide the shaft out of the bad seal.

That sucks

I have the same year tranny 71-72 and recently did the same job of "fixing the leak" by installing a New seal. I thought the same thing you did, but once I got started it really wasnt so bad, as long as you have some mechanical ability. While I was there I also installed new 1st and 2nd gear brake bands and hubs.. my local tranny shop said the synchros were still in good usable shape. Good luck! It'll work out!!
