SURVEY TO THOSE WHO WOULD PARTICIPATE. WHO HAS, WOULD LIKE TO AND IS KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE BLACK ROCKER SHAFT SEALS THAT WERE INSTALLED LONG AGO IN RSR EQUIPPED 911'S. I AM GATHERING INFO AND ALMOST ANY INFO WOULD BE HELPFUL SIZE, THICKNESS ,MATERIAL OF MANUFACTURE, WEAR CHARACTERISTICS ETC. PLEASE POST AS THE RESULT OF THIS SURVEY COULD BENIFIT ALL 911 OWNERS.

They're readily available Keith - I just ordered a set this week.

Edit: removed reference to Pelican competition.

I think they were in the mid $30.00 range for a set of 24....

Ah, yes, the "support the board" bit. I've made plenty of Pelican orders over the years, and have another one I need to get going. In this case however, Competitor X cost $36/set and Pelican cost $108/set. I am not going to pay triple to "support the board". I have, however, removed reference to the cheaper supplier.

Keith, I note that Competitor X lists Wrightwood Racing as the vendor of the seals - so anyone that can supply Wrightwood products should be able to sell them to you.

Many say you don't need them. I read Henry say he has almost never used them and he is very serious about any oil leaks. Just torque them up to 18-20 N.m.

how about some details seizes.

Inner diameter
outer diameter
thickness
material: Viton?
