				Proper Deck Height for Euro P's & C's ?

I am doing my second rebuild. This stime around I am installing Nikasil Euro P&C's They are new Mahles and will be installed on my stock '84 3.2. Do I use the same 1.25 - 1.5 mm deck height or do I go lower to 1MM or something else entirely different? My heads were slightly decked, so I am concerend that I get the deck height right. Thanks Than

I see no reason to have a deck height different than 1-1.5mm. With the higher compression I'd lean toward the 1.5mm myself but anywhere in there should be ok. -Andy

I have nearly the same set-up, I just finished that part of reassembly on Saturday. I have a deck height of around 1.40, my heights were decked as well and I ended up using 0.75 mm cylinder base gaskets. Good luck, alex

			Did you combine a .25 and a .50?

Yes, I combined them to give me 0.75mm. I also performed a pre-assembly (Dry) check for piston to valve clearance when I had only 0.25 mm base gaskets. I'm glad I did this because I had contact, this is why I went to 0.75mm. My preassembly saved me a lot of money and time, I may have destroyed my engine if I didn't do this check. Good luck, Alex

I did the preassembly on my first build as well. My first was a totally stock rebuild. The pre-assembly gave me peace of mind. This time I am not sure what I will find. Thanks for the feedback.
