What to do?

I have a 2.2L w/Zenith carbs. It evidently came from a car with a sportmatic transmission. There is an oil pump on the left rear of the engine. Do I remove this? Is there a plate I can buy to cover up what ever is under there?
Also there are two large fittings in one set of intake manifolds....I assume these are for the vacumm cansister for the transmission. Is this correct?
Thanks for the help.

I can answer the manifold question. If they are on the drivers-side manifold then yes, they were for the sportomatic.
