Need opinions

Henry or whoever would like to chime in...
Would this work, if going from a 2.7 to a 3.0 I just change the distributor gear on the 3.0 crank to a 2.7 and use the existing 2.7 harness. Is this possible? Remember I have EFI.

A 2.7 distributor will work like you have described but why would you?
Why not just use the 3.0 distributor?
The 3.0 is a better all around distributor and can easily be recurved to work with any engine configuration.

Thanks Henry,
I was told this by a guy who has worked on 911s for 25 years and just wanted to check out the feasibility of it.
