Different clutch nessesary??

I had what was a stock 2.2 T that got the 2.4 crank and a few other upgraded parts. Now that I'm ordering a clutch for it I'm confused as to the purchase of the 2.2 Clutch or a 2.4L Clutch. I'm still gonna use the 901 trans. Is it the Trans that decides which clutch your gonna use or the Crank?
Thanks in advance,
Nabil

If your using a 901 trans from 70-71 it will use the same pressure plate as a 915. The difference is the TOB and the disc itself.
The 901 has a VW small spline and the 915 uses a larger course spline disc.

More simply put the clutch should match the trans not the engine.
