distributor cap grease

Anyone,,,, do you use dielectric grease in the rotor cap and on rotor tip? Thanks in advance !!

No, you use grease on the rubbing block for the points. "Dielectric" means it does not conduct electricity, so you would not want to use it on anything that is intended to conduct, like the rotor.

If you live in an area that tends to be wet you can use dielectric grease around the base of the distributor cap where it sits on the distributor. This will help to seal out moister.
It is also good if you wash your engine often. Remember it will help, it won't prevent all the water from getting in.
