Will GT2 Evo cams clear 7.5:1CR, 98mm Max Moritz pistons on a 3.2 (3.4)?
I have a 3.2 converted to 3.4 using the Max Moritz flat-top pistons. I believe these are 7.5:1CR with 3.2 heads?
Will the GT2 Evo's clear? If not, what should the fly-cut depth be? They already have divots from my mechanical overrev, so more than likely will already clear. ![]() Just want to make sure if the stars align, and I find a pair. Second question, is there GT2 and GT2 Evo variants? Any info would be great. I plan on running sub-7kRPM. Low speed torque is not a concern having a G50.

Do you have pictures of the pistons?

My MM pistons are pretty flat. No valve reliefs like yours. I cannot tell if your reliefs are below the crown surface or not?
21's have more lift than GT2's according to DRC's.

Are they made by Mahle? I didn't know MM did a turbo upgrade.

Cory, I can't help with your questions, but just wanted to give you props for your hilarious use of the rockers!
![]() Also, not to be an alarmist, but with dents like like put in the piston crowns, wouldn't it be a good idea to have the rods and crank checked for damage (maybe you've already planned on that)? Last edited by Ronnie's.930; 08-21-2015 at 10:07 PM.. |

BTW, fly-cutting the pistons would have removed material, this method (piston kissing exhaust valves) acted more billet. ![]() If anyone believes opposite, well, I'll be the guinea pig for long term longevity (or catastrophic failure).
