Engine and transmission rebuild budget on '73RS

If you were to do a complete rebuild on a '73RS engine and transmission, how much should you budget using a top of the line rebuilder?

$25k Engine
$5k transmission
$3k MFI

Those numbers are very close if not just a touch high.
Engine: $17K to $22K
Trans: $2.5 - $3.5K
MFI:$2.5k

If it is a real '73RS, budget should have no place in the equation. Scrimping on priceless hardware is the devil's work. That said, Henry is the cure that.

Well I was reading Pesto360's post about his "RS" and how he spent $50k on a complete rebuild.

I was wondering how that was possible, but if Henry can get to $28k, then I can see how it can reach $50k in Europe with high VATs, parts and labor prices and a weak Dollar
