2,2 Rods in a 2,0 Case
I didn't know this was a problem. So you can use 2,0 rods in a 2,2 case, but you can't use 2,2 rods in a 2,0 case? Interesting.

This is a prime example of "you can't believe everything you read" .
We 've built 50 plus engines (2.0 case with 2.2 rods) with 0 (I repeat) ) 0 issues. Where do you believe the clearence issue exists? Besides the spec book, do you have any anecdotal evidence of this claim.

No, as I said, I didn't know this was a problem. Never heard of it before. You can probably post a better comparison photo given that you're a few feet away from hundreds of these rods, but here's one from John Luetjen. Left to right, 2.0, 2.2, 2.7. Are the shoulders of the cap bigger on the 2.2 rod? ![]()
