MFI Fuel Pump Help - Grady or Henry

Gents,
I towed my 1970 911 to a shop here in Maryland. Sorry, but I tried to get her started and failed. It is now determined the fuel pump is not working. It worked perfectly fine until I stored her for the past 6 years. I am now told it is not working. What can I do with the fuel pump? Rebuild (where do I send it) or just buy a $600+ new fuel pump???? Is there a cheaper way out of this mess? I have the 46 Webers still on the motor.
I plan to get her started first and rebuild the motor over to MFI (I have a 013and 015 complete MFI system rebuilt in the basement).
I really don't want to buy the Carb Bosch fuel pump if I plan to swap-out fuel systems. The fuel pump #s are 911-608-10700 and/or 61309 for the short #.

Thanks in advance,

Bavaria911...back in the USA from Germany

911 608 107 00 is a bosch 0.3 atm pump from a 70- 911T, the right one for carbs.

You can use any old cheapo pump with a pressure regulator to put out 3.5 psi for the Webers-- on a temporary basis anyway. Holley makes one.

Philippe,
Only the fuel pump - up near the gas tank.

John,
On the Holley fuel pump, how is that installed in the car? Location and return lines? Is there a specific Holley model # I should buy?

If I can save some money (temporary fix with the Holley) and have the Bosch fuel pump repaired/rebuilt or find a good working one at a low price...this it the best method.

I've used the "red" Holley fuel pump. It worked well. I mounted it in the smuggler's box, as low as possible, and used a Bosch relay to activate it. The pump needs to be mounted as low as possible as they are pusher type pumps, not pullers. The instructions that come with the Holley will tell you that it needs to be gravity fed.

We have been using the 74-77 CIS fuel pump for both carburetors and MFI. We also use a PMO pressure regulator to set the appropriate pressure.
The pump mounts on a stock bracket directly below the fuel tank on the suspension cross brace.
This pump (BOSCH # 0 580 254 998) offers quite, reliable performance with more than enough pressure and volume for any NA application. A version of this was was used in most 935 engine making in excess of 700 hp.
With both the MFI and carb application a return line is necessary. Most Porsche chassis' have this line.
When we install this pump on MFI engine we do away with the fuel station for a much cleaner installation.
In the application above you can have the best of both worlds, it will work for your carb engine and futurre MFI engine as well.

Could someone explain the difference between the 77-79, 80-83, and 84-89 fuel-pumps. Other than color and cost, they look the same.
