chain ramps?
Im reramping and putting carrera tensioners in my 80 930 . How do I know when my 4 inner ramps are seated on the pins? I dont want to put it back together until Im sure its right.

When the ramps line up with the chains and the bolt/pins are tight then they are seated. You'll find that after you put the bolts/pins in they will push the ramps against the back of the case. You then have to move the ramps toward the middle of the opening until they snap into place. I think I used a fat screw driver to pry the ramps toward the middle of the opening.

snap the bolts into the chain rams once or twice before you install them. I then held them against the block as tight as possible until they snapped in. A little bit of aerosol silicon in the ramp holes helped too
