Intake manifold spacers
Hi All,
I have a 1970 2.0 914-6 motor. I have 2 sets of Weber carbs & manifolds. One set has aluminum spacers that fit between the head and the manifold. The other set has phenolic spacers that fit between the manifold and the carbs. The manuals show a spacer under the manifold, but does it really make a difference? Ken |
Ken:
You really need the phenolic ones,.........!!!!!!!!! |
As if his advice needs reinforcement...what Steve said.
It will help keep the carbs cooler, which helps battle hot-start issues where fuel can boil/siphon out of the bowls while sitting. |
Thanks.
But now I will need another set of Phenolic spacers. Are they a Weber, Porsche or somebody elses part? P/N ? Ken |
I have got these through Steve before.......
Cheers |
Porsche; between head and manifold for a 914-6/2.0

PMO sells these, they advertise online and in Excellence. You have to fax them because they don't list a phone number.

901 108 131 00 PMO ones are plastic and twice as thick and probably a better price. |
