Odd Engine ??

Just bought a 3.0 sc core for my project, engine is a 83 sc ROW 930/10 the stamp on the case confims this as does the engine number. Odd think is the case actually has a bottom like a 3.2 ie without the cover on the bottom. Other features of the case are different form a 3.2 however for example the front of the case is different and is like the normal 3.0's. The other odd thing is it has 3.2 heads but date stamped 83 the engine also comes with a large bore 39mm CIS system again stamped 83 but acording to the stats it should be the small bore intakes with the small port SC heads.

Anyone come across this before?

Steve

Late SC cases were like that. Friend of mine had one. Interesting about the heads as well, but I can only assume it was the same kind of thing where they were migrating the parts steadily to the Carrera configuration.

Will be interesting to rebuild it... you will have to know which part to order... 3.0 or 3.2 version

Best regards,

Michael
