Weber Gaskets

I order a gasket set for my webers a long time ago and now that I am putting the gaskets on one inparticular is not fitting. I'll attach a picture of what I am having problems with.

The gasket ripped where the green arrows are and it overlaps and goes into places it shouldn't where the red arrows are.

Am I installing these incorrectly? Should gaskets be soaked or treated to make them more pliable prior to installation? Or what is happening here? I've flipped them upside down to see if that fixed the problem but no go on that fix.

Thanks,
Rich

John,

Thanks for the link. I've read through it before and read through it again, but there doesn't seem to be any solution other than soaking the gasket in water. Maybe I will give that a shot.

Rich
