Bearings?

First post here.......

I will be doing a complete rebuild on my 3.0 SC motor soon I hope. Unfortunately, it sucked a valve at Watkins Glen at 6200 RPM.

Besides a broken head and piston, I'm hoping that the rest is salvagable

To get to the point.... I've been following a couple threads about bearing quality from Glyco. Assuming that I'm going to buy a "kit" with gaskets and bearings what advice can you give regarding making sure that the bearings are up to snuff?

By the way, this is for a street car - 73 RS replica hot rod. If it goes on the track it will only be for DE.

John,

Thanks for the reference...........

The thread seemed to take a turn and focused on coatings......

I guess the answer to my question is that we are stuck with Glyco bearings and the obvious need to buy from a supplier who will accept returns hassle free!
