Threebond 1211 vs 1104
I can't seem to find Threebond 1104 locally but my yamaha dealer said they use 1211 for sealing cases which is the only thing they stock. I am ready to put my engine cases together and Threebond 1104 was listed here as the sealant of choice by a number of engine builders including Henry. Any info would be appreciated Thanks Bob

I found this on threebond's website. They appear to be very different products. Type, viscosity, hardening, and temperatures are all different.

Try motorcycle shops for 1104.
Harley has been using it for decades. Bob

1211 is not a suitable replacement for 1104. You are having trouble finding 1104 because ThreeBond has discontinued 1104 in favor of a product with no lead. The new product is 1194 and is available from many sources.
If you want the low/no lead product we can't help you but Supertec is still a source for the original 1104. Bear in mind we have a $100 minimum order.
