Who does head rebuilding?

Recently I found a post about somebody that rebuilds lots of porsche heads and they charge around 400 for the set. I believe it was in the Chicago area. Does anybody know who this is?

Cannot help with the Chicago connection.

However, with easy UPS/Fed Ex shipping available, I can recommend Competition Engineering in CA. Walt did an excellent job on my 2.0 heads.

Contact Craig Garrett (cgarr) at G2 Racing on the board. He is in MI close to Chicago.

You can see his excellent work on a recent post about a 2.7 case.

You could go to the PCA(pca.org) web site for that region and see if there are any advertisers that support the local chapters.

Ask Chris (cstreit) at Motodelta who he uses. I'm pretty sure they're local.

Souk @ Motomotions here in the Chicago area sends his to Atlantic Enterprises in NJ. Many people have great things to say about Atlantic and they have good turnaround time.

I and a friend sent ours to Craig Garrett. I don't think you can beat the service Craig gives. He has done his homework to create a precise procedure. He custom fits/machines the guides for a perfect fit.
