Cam shaft end cover removal
I've done a search and can't seem to find an answer. How to you get the cam shaft end cover off after the 3 bolts are removed? I can't seem to get a grip on it any way. Wayne's book says use a screwdriver but it's referring to an SC and there does not seem to be very much room at all at the edge of the cover and the housing to even get a screwdriver in there.
EDIT: Never Mind, I found that if I rock the chain housing just a bit it breaks it free.

Try sliding the camshaft out, it should push it out.

I have a pair of reverse pliers that open when you squeeze them. I put them in one of the grooves, squeeze, and wiggle and pull it out. It's not always easy.
Cgarr's idea will work. |

Now that I understand how it's constructed I could have put the large cam bolt back in and pried it out but wiggling the cam cover seems to have done the trick. It's just not totally clear what's connected to what.
Thanks for the quick help. All these little hurdles seem easy after you've done it...it's the first time that eats up the time.
