Recommend a Cam

Looking for some recommendations for cam choice. Engine will be a early aluminum cased 2.7 liter. Case will have all the mods done to it for high RPM operation as will the crankshaft. 10.5:1 compression JE Pistons, Dual Plug Heads ported to 43 intake, 40 exhaust. Induction is ITB and EFI, ignition also computer controled. Use is 90% Track, plus driving there and back and occasional early morning back road blasts. I don't need to worry about driving in stop and go traffic so high RPM operation will be the norm. I am looking at the motor being safe to 7800 and want my power band to peak around 7500. This is going to go into a 68R styled car with a 901

Suggestions?

I'd use either the Webcam 120/104 or the JWR GE-60. Both fill the bill very nicely. :)

The GE60 is very nice for a track car wih ocassional street time. In that vein, look at the DC62, as well.

Everything that I think you will need to know is right here.

Thanks for the suggestions, and the reading, my eyes, and head hurt now ;)

Looks like GE60's are only available for 4 bearing carriers? Can you just swap the carriers and use them with earlier (2.7) heads?

You can run 4 bearing cams in 3 bearing carriers as long as the bearing diameter is correct (turned down).

You probably know this but you must use stiffer valve springs and/or titanium retainers with these cams.

I recommend a SC or T cam ;)

Worried I'm going to be making to much HP? :D

By the way, I just ordered some Nitto NT01's from the place in ON I sent the link to, almost $300.00 cheaper with shipping than I could find them in Calgary.

And hows this for an idea for the EFI?

I'd need an adapter plate for the manifold bolts, but can you say DIY High butterfly?
