Early AL case w/3.2 oil pump, sump cover?

I'm in the process of rebuilding my early Aluminum case and have installed a 3.2. oil pump. Is there a special sump cover that would fit in this application? is appears that the scavange side of the pump sticks out too far.

Yes....Get yourself the later sump cover. I believe that plate started in 1982 or so with the introduction of the larger pumps with the pick-up screen. Your host has them in stock.

'Supertec Performance a regular contributor on this board, sells a very nice finned cast aluminum sump cover for people who have put late oil pumps into early cases it looks right with the finned cast aluminum case and has the clearance needed and a drain plug. Fritz
