Engine start after restoration

Can someone tell me how I should go about starting the engine after it has been sitting for a very long time. I have restored my 911T during the last couple of years and I'm almost ready to install the engine again.

I have replaced a lot of gaskets and seals but there is no oil in it. So after I have connected all of the oil lines etc and filled the tank with oil do I just crank it with the starter?

How long will it take before the pump has fed all the bearings? Any ideas will be appreciated!! Thanks in advance! Hans

Wayne's book tells you, but if I recall correcly, pull the lead off the dizzy and crank it to build oil pressure. Once the oil is through the system, you can fire it up.
