Question Need case saver help!

I need to fix a pulled stud on my 2.4T. I have the case saver (for 10mm stud - 14mm x 2.0 outer). Any body know what size hole to drill for the tap?

drill size

standard drill size for a 14x2mm tap is a 12mm drill. be sure that your outside diameter is metric ...... some of the inserts have a metric inside thread of 10mm and a standard outside thread of 1/2". Also as noted in other posts .... be sure to install these inserts using a mill. hand drills will not work. can;t be aligned properly. save time and money by having a machine shop do it. Hope this helps.
