what 3.0 engines do not have head gastkets

A mate of mine has a 6 x 95mm Mahle nikasil cylinders, and 1 one cyliner has a lip for for a head gasket, the others do not.

I have a 3.0 78 model SC engine (stock bar a 3.2 oil pump) with aluysil cylinders, so I was looking at doing a topend with the Mahle cylinders and a set of JEs 9.8:1 with some S cams and my 40mm webers.

( I did a total rebuild on this motor a year ago so it is run in nice)

My question is this, does the SC of 78 have a head gasket lip?

What size are the ports and valves on a 78 I hear they are larger and are good for hoting up the 3.0.

what is a good set up for the 3.0 for street and some track (not a daily driver)

Love to here some idea's or experience with this motor

cheers

Matt
