Need help identifying Cylinders
Rebuilding a 3.2 Short stroke motor which supposedly has 12:1 CR. I have found markings on the pistons identifying them as JE 98mm. However the cylinders are a mystery? Can someone help identify the manufactuerer so I can contact them and see what the coating is in them and whether they should be resurfaced before re ringing this engine?

Having dealt with the QSC product line I must say that their finished products (although lacking some design prowess) have a far nicer finish than the one pictured.
I've seen hundreds of engines along with a myriad of product proposals, I have never seen this product. The quality actually looks a little frightening. Perhaps this was a proto-type for testing only?

Bob Cousimano at CMW Motorsports is kind of an Old School Porsche guy. Been around a long time.
Famous for his D port billet cylinder heads. I've seen some crazy dyno numbers from some of his projects. If memory serve me correctly (quite often it doesn't) he was the first guy to make a 4.0 911 engine. A real pioneer. Some of his stuff was cool and some was a little out there. If he made these cylinders, I'll let you decide if it's cool or "out there".

Funny the numbering system looks like Nickies, but I very much doubt it.
I believe in the prototype very early days LN had porosity issues, but I'm pretty sure that was all VW Type 4 stuff back then. I think they had the process and materials all sorted before they started with the 911 cylinders.
