Question 930.103.121.2 R - which conn rods is these?

First off, my car is an '87 Carrera 3.2 with a single turbo. After doing the "money shift" and tearing down the motor, I have been trying figure out which rods I have.

I cant find the origin of these rods in my 3.2. I tried Waynes Porsche PET links with no avail. I figured they were 930 rods because I have the flat top pistons for the turbo.

Also, is my barrels the stock ones with the part number: 95NZ1.......W16.........A8?

TIA, Cory

The 3.2 and the 3.3 rods are the same, having a smaller wrist pin then prior rods of the SC. The cylinders can be either Carrera or SC. If there is no head gasket CE ring the cylinders are Carrera. If there is a head gasket relief then they are SC

So you are saying I could have either 930 or 3.2 rod? Wow, so both rods are the same in strength I assume?

There were thin copper looking barrel gaskets at the bottom.

That is the base seal for the cylinder. The new ones in the kits are black

So when you spoke of relief's, you were speaking at the top of the barrel?

In the PET, all 911 engines from the first 'til 1989 showed a 930.103.XXX.X designation.

Then, the 964 rods said 964.103.XXX.X followed by the 993.103.XXX.X for the 993's of course.

So mine, has the same 930.103. as all the others but none in the PET had the 121.2 R suffix as my rods have.

So, I still have just a regular 3.2/3.3 rod?
