Can anyone tell me if there is anything wrong with mixing valve brands in a 911head.
I have 6 brand new factory Porsche intake valves but may need to go TRW for the exhaust valves. Any problems with doing that? Also If you have 6 brand new Factory Porsche exhaust valves which you don't need, tell me. I just won't tell the wife! 1970 911E heads 40mm sodium filled. Porsche Australia gave me this part number 911.105.415.50 Thanks TR |

I am not aware of any issues, although I have heard that the later TRW valves are not as good.
I personally am using SI valves which are stainless replicas of the original ATE which are prohibitively expensive. Even though the original were sodium filled the SI are solid, but given that this is a 65 bhp/liter application I am not particularly concerned about it. I would proceed with the "mixed" valves.

The TRW valves are fine and there is no issue mixing brands. In actually there is no issue even mixing materials.
