Valve stem seals Ready to install new valve stem seal, is there a specific way to installing them as mine are are very tight fitting and will not go home fully. Any tips/tricks to fitting them. |

HI coxy the seals are tight to fit, I made up a tool to fit them and to fit them on the guide square, you will need to check the top of the guide has no sharp edge, as it will pull the inside of the seal on fitment . regards mike |

little plastic cover? Did you get the little plastic hat to put on the valve stem to slide the seal over? I spread a very thin coat of grease on the inside of the seals to help them onto the guides, I've always done that on valve stem seals. |

You really should make sure the seals are square on the guide, here is a tool I made to install the seals, works very well: http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...1/100_7846.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...1/100_7847.jpg http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...1/100_7848.jpg |
