for installation lube, some penetration oil of your choice in the bore and on the guide before running them in.

John, how do you "run" them in? Do they stop when they are seated at the right depth? And do you ream them after installing?
Thanks, JB |
JB you just asked the question I've been trying to get a answer for, if anyone could answer this it would be a HUGE help.

Ace, the answers I have received vary. Some say use an air hammer and it is a matter of "feel" developed from years of doing it. Others just pound them in with a hammer. The guides have an upset on the OD that stops it at the right depth. Too much interference and the guide bore could crack. The guides have to be reamed by some sutible means after installation. That's all I know for now.
