Engine Parts number guide
HI,
I have been picking up good used parts in hopes of putting together a running 2.2. Call it a hobby!! Anyway, I bought some of the parts based on the good word of the seller that they were from a 2.2. I am now taking an inventory of all of these parts and I began noticing that some of the numbers on the parts do not seem to match the part numbers that are either posted on Pelican or even the Porsche Parts Diagrams. Is there such a thing as a definitive listing of Porsche parts by year. In this case, I am just talking about 2.2 engine parts from 1970. Thanks for any direction anyone can give me on this. Tim |

The Porsche PET, available on CD, is the definitive list with very good parts diagrams and part number listings. You have to be careful with the numbers stamped or cast onto parts as these are often casting or forging part numbers that do not match the finished part number. If you have some questions, email me and I can help to identify which parts you have or need.
