Carrera 3.4 rebuild: the initial startup

Just finished helping a friend rebuild his 3.2 into a 3.4. Nikkies & JEs, Camgrinder 964 cams, lots of new parts.... Here's the initial startup (a 20 minute 2500 rpm run).

Nice work!

My 3.4 is circa 4k miles on, it feels better and better with every mile.

I know how that feels. Nothing better than the first startup.......at least when it runs that good.

congrats,

Al

Ya! It's running good - still a little blue smoke on off-the-gas deceleration from 5000 rpm.... that's normal for a little while isn't it? No smoke at all on acceleration or cruising, or light decel.
