While I was dusting off the shelves I came across a complete CIS system with the 39mm runners. A friend suggested that there may be some benefit to bolting the setup onto my 1980 3.0 in place of the stock system with the 34mm ports. More power would be good.
What can I do with it? I don't know much about these new fangled injections. They're not like carbs. ![]()

Jens,
That early CIS intake system doesn't do good unless you have the early, large-port heads to match. ![]() The resultant step at the port surfaces would be a liability when using smaller ports and bigger intake runners.

Thanks Steve, I kind of figured that, but I had to ask, hoping for a shortcut.
![]() Thanks.

what if you were to "blend" the edge of the head ports to match the runners. IE put a slight champher on the edge of the port.
are the throttle bodies the same size?
