stretching rods to raise CR

I have a 2.7 motor that I'm rebuilding. I was wondering if there would be concerns about lengthening the rods with eccentric rebushing. I was thinking of using 2.7 RS p/c and lengthening by .020 to raise the CR to about 9:1. I was also planning on using solex cams. Or would it be better to go with JE pistons. Planned to be driven on the street. Thanks. Paul.

although there are beniefits to a longer connecting rods on most 911 engines I would choose to replace the pistons if budget was not an issue.

Thanks Henry for your advice. Are JE pistons as durable as Mahle? I was wondering because of the recommeded greater running clearance for the JE's. Paul.

Lots of info on this if you search. JEs are VERY durable these days and very comparable to Mahles.
