Dyno results 2.6l
Recently finished the rebuild of a 2.0l from a '68 911.
Previous rebuild (no documentation) included 2.8 mahle pistons and cylinders. I decided to go with the stock 2.0 heads and reground cam (e grind from elgin). All else is stock. Only have a couple hundred miles on her so far and still tweaking the webers to try to eliminate the popping. Car runs great though! lots left to do to the car including headliner, front end suspension, minor rust spots, etc. Dyno results look about right for this config I believe. Thoughts? ![]()

Dan, Looks good. Love that flat torque curve.
From the looks you get about 170 at the wheels. Thats nearly 200 at the crank. Not a bad number, I would have thought you would get more. I think that your AFRs are a little lean for WOT max power. While they should be safe I think you would make a bit more power at 13:1 range instead of 14:1. It also looks like your idle circuit is too small as it goes really lean near the transition to mains. This could be adjustment or just too small idle jets.

You don't mention cams, but if thoses are RSR pistons on a 2 liter crank with machined 2 liter heads, this seems low for a car with 11:1 CR. Unless of course your timing is retarded so far back that you are losing half your power stroke to fight detonation. Cams and port dimensions are key to answering this question, but a twin plug 2.6 with bog ports and S cams should be making an easy 240HP.

The cams have the solex grind. We did play with the compression some to try to reduce. We do need to work with the jets still. I was under the impression this was to be the expected hp with this config. I'm not looking to track the car so making it more streetable was the goal.

These numbers make sense with Solex cams with a granite table flat torque curve, but given your displacement, these cams are really, really mild. A 2.6 really needs more lft and duration.
