Rebushing Idler Arms?

I'm starting on a 2L rebuild project and already know I want to use the wider idler arms. I have an option on a good used set, but I'm not sure how long they usually last and how to evaluate the cost benefit of used verses new.

Has anyone had their idler arms rebushed? Is it cost effective?

Any help?

Thanks.

I bought mine used. I'm sure a good machine shop could rebush them but mine didn't seem to be worn excessively.

I'm talking about the idler arms for the chains. I think they're $400+ new but they come up used for $100-$175.

I'm sure that in the end it all depends on individual condition, but I was thinking that perhaps there was some key information about what dictates usable "as is" verses not.

Thanks.

Thanks for the input. I will keep my eye out for a good used set...and check with Henry on cost for the converted old style.
