What is the best way to clean aa engine case
I am rebuilding an early 356 engine for a Friend and there is a Lot of corrosion on the case.
Is bead or walnut blasting OK or is there a better way. Thanks Lorne M. |
Walnut shells might be ok but soda blasting would be the safest way to go due to the ability to wash the soda away. I wouldn't be able to sleep well knowing there had been beads in or around the engine.
Also have to say I don't have much experience with the 356. Hopefully someone that has done it will chime in. |
Send it to Ollies for ceramic tumble.

Another satisfied custumer of Ollies here. I have the same case as pictured in the link and it is great.

Is the ceramic tumble just for aluminum cases or can it be done to magnesium cases?
