How to bore out plastic T stacks to S stacks

Dear all

I have T Stacks and would like to bore the to S Stacks.

Question? Who has done this before?

Did you used a drill? Whas is working Ok in plastic? How many step did you do?

34mm 38mm?

Or did you used a exanding reamer?

I have a box column drill which I woud use for this operation.

Hi Bob,

Here is a "T" stack that I bored out to "S" spec.

I machine them with a CNC mill so I get a smooth taper from 42 to 38

I use a very long/expensive custom ball-mill. The material cuts easily but I suspect a tapered reamer will not work well as you will have a great deal of cutter/material interface. It will most likely chatter violently and leave a poor finish. I am not sure what a box column drill is.

The Max I have machined a plastic stack is 46 at the top to 42mm on the bottom.
