Nor Cal Machine shops

Would like to know of some different machine shops in Northern California that specialize in Porsche engines. I only know of two, German Precision and Jay's Precision Machine.

What are looking to have done? I'm in Sacramento and know a few people that have helped me on my 3.0L build.

I'm looking for someone that can deal with a ruff safety valve bore. I'd like to keep shipping distance short as possible.

The two I know personally and are well-known-- perhaps in many parts of the world, are Ted Robinson at German Precision (he just did some great work for me) and Mike Stimson at Pacific Performance Motorsports. Cannot go wrong with them.

sd, where in norcal are you? I know of a couple people that might be of service but if shipping costs are a concern, it would help to know how faraway you are.

I've already shipped the case off to Ollies in AZ. The issue is with a ruff safety valve bore. German Pre. doesn't do this, I did call a local shop they said they could probably do the job but told me I'd be better off having it done by someone that's done this before. I'm in Sac. My biggest concern about shipping is the condition of the box and contents after the shipper has handled it, experience is that the farther parts are shipped the better chance at damage, at least when shipping by ground.
