high lift cam timing question

please i need help. 1969/911S engine overlaping 5.2mm
I got all the steps so far and my question is when i rotate the crankshaft 360degrees, the dial gauge star to move (open valve) before the crank reach the Z1 mark about 3.5mm that means a I have to substract 3.5mm form 5.2mm at the cam?
if that so: i have to loose the camshaft nut , remove the dowel pin an rotate counter clock wise 1.7mm reinstal the pin and do the same on No.4 piston.
thaks.

You are correct. You need to advance (add numbers to make 5.2) the cam so it will read 5.2 at Z1. Then you have to rotate the crank 360 degrees and set the other cam to the 5.2@
Z1.
