How many miles out of a 3.2 (three point two)?

Okay. Getting very interested in purchasing a car with a 3.2 in it. Engine has over 276K on it and was rebuilt at 200K.

Going to get PPI . . . but before I sink the money on that, I wondered if there is any prevailing wisdom on how many miles a 3.2 can go on a rebuild?

Thanks in advance.

Well...... depends on just how good of a rebuild it got. If it got all the proper material upgrades (valve guides, head studs, etc...), and parts (including new intermediate and crank gears), etc. etc., it'll *probably* last a LONG time....

Otherwise, you have some key parts with 276K miles.... But, the thing is, $$$$. What is the going rate for a real high mileage Carrera? I'd guess $6000-$10000? Actually your post only ID'd the engine.... what's it in?
