930 rebuild, what kind of head studs

Hi,
Have started my 930 rebuild.
The reason to rebuild is that I am upgrading to SC cams.
Bought the car last year and also want to know the status of the engine as well.
The shop/collector I bought it from told me that the car had been kept well.
The car had only 34k miles, and had only been running 1200 miles since 1995.

My second reason is to replace all gaskets, since they might been dried out.

I discovered the had studs to be in really nice shape.

Can anyone tell me what kind of head studs these are ?
Looks like raceware, but I'm not sure.

Is is necessary to replace the head studs if they all looks in perfect shape?
Too me is seems like they where replaced not many miles ago.

Do they hold a magnet? They look like the stock steel studs I have lining the bottoms of several drawers in my garage.

I only user Supertec studs, these days. OEM steel studs are OK, but the Supertec stud alloy expands a lot closer to Dilavar than the stock studs (a happy medium) yet don't break like Dilavar.

No, they do not hold a magnet. Just checked

ARP and Dilavar are not magnetic...dunno about the Supertecs, since I never checked. Here's a good thread for research:

Thought that the Dilavar studs was more grey'ish ?

This is how my head studs on SC 3.0 engine looked like. But hard to see differences in these photos:)

Steel upper ones and dilavar lower.

There seems to be some kind of different corrosion attack on the lower ones. But probably they get more of road dirt while driving also. Or maybe not since the air from the blower should keep most dirt away?

This car has been in scandinavia during all its years, probably even got some swedish road salt on it while it was winter driven.

Still not finished renewing them, but hopefully they are gone before next summer.
