Case Cleaning / Coating

Any tips on getting my case prettied up?

I've cleaned it in the parts washer and it's just not pretty.

Anything to brighten the aluminum?

I've also thought about a full ceramic coating (which would of course render it black)

Anyone with experience in either option?

Thanks

I had mine tumble polished, it came out great.

Thats magnesium not aluminum and it will have a dark complection, looking dirty or stained.
I like to spray it with a boat product that keeps it from sulfating and gives it a gloss.

here is a picture of my case... all I did was clean it with mineral spirits, then hand polish with Mothers AL polish (jewelers rouge), and then clean with soap and water...... I had about 160 hours if I recall, into the polishing....

If it's stock from your 73, is a magnesium case. That will never keep pretty... Some kind of ceramic coating would be nice, if they work on Mag.
