930 engine assemly - cylinder/cylinder head seal?
Hi,
I am in the process of putting the engine back again after new valve guide replacement. On a 930 there is not any seal ring between the cylinder and cylinder head like the SC. Are you guys using any seal, or are the cylinder/cylinder head just mounted dry (no sealant) ? |

On the 3.3L half finned versions there are no sealing rings - just mounted clean and dry.
Regards, Andrew M

Just to clarify - you still use the copper gasket on the base of the cylinder to set deck height

Yes, Andrew, That is already mounted.
Was just curious if someone used any form of lochtite or any other sealant between cylinder and head. :-) Thanks for posting. Always good to check since this is my first 930 engine rebuild :-) |
