Timing Light Question

Over the winter I put a wasted spark ignition system on my SC. I can set the timing with an old school mechanical timing light, with the at idle setting at 11degrees. However with my new Snapon EETL5568 digital light, set at 11 degrees, the indicators on the crank pulley don't line up, and no amount of changing the advance on the light does anything. I'm wondering if this is because of the wasted spark.

You need the special adaptor (MT 255) that SnapOn makes for using your timing light with a wasted spark ignition. This strips the extra firing pulse from the coil so you get accurate timing values.
