Case Repairable?

Hi guys please look at the pics and give opinion if this case is repairable. The cylinder seal area on #2 is badly damaged but not as bad as it looks in the close up!!!

Probably can be fixed, but a used case would get my vote.

Better opinions will be offered I'm sure.

That can be welded and remachined by a competent and experienced individual

I have repaired worse. Hard part is getting the oil out of the porous aluminum. When you heat it with a tig, the contaminants come to the surface of the molten Aluminum and make it impossible to get a decent fill. By the time you pay to have it welded then get it machined, then checked and machined to make sure the case is within spec, you may have as much in it or more than a decent used case might cost.

On another note I am still waiting on my re-build book so can someone post the specs for the inner case dimensions i.e. crank bearing specs etc
