I am still in the process of break in on my rebuild, I just hit 1000 so I am going to re torque the heads and cam towers, check that the rockers haven't walked, adjust the valves, etc., then its on to fine tuning.
When I re tourqe the heads, should I back them all out a qaurter turn and then re touqe in sequence to spec? Or should I just apply spec tourqe to each one in sequence? Also anything else I should check for? I have changed the oil three times, the latest oil is still clear, I am going to change it anyways. Thanks, Shane

I just check the torque. I wouldn't back them off. You will disturb the fit of the heads on the cylinders if you back them off.
